Lindgren Pitman (L.P. for short) introduced their first Electric Reel in 1975, fitting the 12/0 Senator Frame. Then their drive was adapted to fit the 80-130 Penn International. and followed by Shimano Tiagra when Shimano introduced the reel. These electric reels are still in use today.
Move forward 30 years, and you have the L.P. S-1200. The best commercial grade, 12-Volt reel in production today.
Developing over 100 pounds of drag and holding over 3000 yards of 80 to 100 braid, this reel is the choice of the pros - worldwide.
With the quick change spool feature, this reel is easily converted from a deep drop set-up to a dredge reel or a Swordfish reel in minutes.

Increased efficiency from new technology allows high performance with 12 volts D.C. input. This level of performance was not previously available at 12 volts. The electronics provides for many new features not available before including a counter and stop at top automatic operation.

The all new cantilever spool design allows for a completely sealed drive system for long reliable, maintenance free use. The gear driven level winder line wraps automatically for hands off carefree retrieval. It is the most rugged and ergonomically designed electric reel available.
