Marlin's story began before he was born — in 1954, his father Captain George Parker caught a 1,002 lb Grander Blue Marlin, giving Marlin both his name and his destiny. Marlin became a Captain in 1976 and went on to catch a 1,257 lb Blue Marlin, later landing the 4th largest Blue ever taken by rod and reel at 1,400 lbs. His tournament wins include the 2002 World Cup and the 2003 HIBT in Kona, among many others.
